The Buninyong and District Historical Society documents and preserves the history and heritage of the old Shire of Buninyong. It is located in the former Buninyong Court House, attached to the Buninyong Town Hall.This 1886 building is on the Victorian Heritage Register. The collection includes photographs, maps, cemetery records, extracts of rate records of the Shire of Buninyong, books related to the area, and family histories.
