Hoad enlisted 18.8.14 No. 641, Rank Sgt F. Company, 7th Battn., embarked 19.10.1914. Promoted to 2nd Lieutenant 24/8/15, RTA 20/12/18, was reported missing 18/8/16 POW Germany.
