Significance
This framed black-and-white print of Quan Yin, the bodhisattva of compassion, was presented to Ian Green by Venerable Thich Nguyen Tanh on 24 April 2010 at Quan Am Monastery in Memphis, Tennessee, as part of the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace tour.
The serene monochrome depiction of Quan Yin complements the spiritual message of the Jade Buddha tour, reinforcing shared values of compassion, mindfulness, and inner peace. As a symbol of reverence and cultural unity, the print reflects the broader mission of the tour, to inspire harmony across diverse communities and traditions.
