Historical information
David Taylor was born at Greensborough’s Diamond Valley Community Hospital. His parents purchased the family home which was at 216 Rattray Road Montmorency in the mid-1950s where he lived until the early 1980’s.
David attended St Francis Xavier Primary School, Montmorency from 1962-1967. He then attended the newly opened Parade College Bundoora from 1968 to 1971 and completed his secondary education at Eltham High School in 1972-3.
David was a career public servant and worked for both the federal and state governments in a variety of roles from 1977 to 2024. His last role was as Assistant Director, Public Record Office Victoria (2016 - 2024) where he was responsible for overseeing the management of, and access to, the State’s archival collection.
He lives in a mud brick residence built by local Eltham artist, Janet Boddy, in the early 1970’s. In September 2022. David purchased and subsequently renovated “The Studio”.
