Historical information

Displays set up on the Eltham Common in front of the relocated (1964) Shillinglaw Cottage, prior to the construction of the new Eltham Library in 1993. Eltham Town Park on the opposite side of Panther Place was renamed by Council in 1987 to Alistair Knox Park despite significant community objections. Many residents continued to refer to the park as Eltham Town Park for some years afterwards.

The VW Transporter in foreground, was registered CLD-106 which was issued around Q1 1985.
