The 20th AGM of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria (AFV), formerly the Rheumatism and Arthritis Association of Victoria (RAAV), was held in September 1988. In this photo, AFV board member Joan Southwell presents Elva Renfrew with an award during the event. A cropped version of this photo, depicting Elva Renfrew only, appears on page 3 of the Vol 1 No 4, November 1988 issue of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update. It is captioned: "Mrs Elva Renfrew received the Foundation's highest Award, that of Associate.”
