In late 1991, the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria honoured water exercise leader, Elizabeth Roche, with an Associate Membership. As part of the 1992 National Arthritis Week events, there was a Joint Walk through the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens. In 1996, the Grandparent of the Year (GPOTY) program became involved with the Royal Agricultural Society. GPOTY entrants and supporters handed out program maps on Super Seniors Day at the Royal Melbourne Show. A highlight of the day was the Tiny Tots Photo Competition. Twenty four winners from almost 3000 entries won prizes on the day. On the 23rd of March, 1992, the Parliamentary Bowling Club was launched simultaneously with the launch of National Arthritis Week. The event was held at Government House, Victoria. In January 1992, an International Youth Forum on arthritis was held in Perth. The camp was for anyone who has arthritis and is between the ages of 12 and 25. Participants were from countries such as Malaysia and New Zealand as well as from different parts of Australia. This photo appears on pages 1 (the cover) and 5 of the Vol 5 No 1, Autumn 1992 issue of the Arthritis Foundation of Victoria's quarterly magazine, Arthritis Update.
