Summary

The British ocean liner "Arandora Star" is torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine in the Atlantic on July 2, 1940. A small chapel in a cemetery in the Parma Apennines commemorates the victims of this disaster, which also claimed the lives of 446 Italian civilians, emigrants and residents of Great Britain for decades, while being transported as prisoners of war to Canada.
