Historical information
The house was built at 92 Barkly Street, Sunbury possibly in the late 1930s and was one of a number of homes built in that street, which was the main access rote to the former Sunbury Asylum. In the early 2000s it was demolished to make way for unit development on the large block.
Significance
A number of the older houses that were built on large housing blocks in Sunbury have been demolished to make way for unit development.
Physical description
A coloured photograph of double fronted house with a small porch over the doorway and two sets of sash windows are on either side of the entrance. Weatherboards have been used halfway up the external walls with fibro-cement used the rest of the way. The house has a simple pitched roof. The main external colour is cream with pale pink trim around the gable.
