Historical information
The house was at 175 O'Shanassy Street, Sunbury and was one of the first houses to be built there. It was listed in the Shire of Bulla Heritage Study as being of local heritage importance but was demolished in the early 2000s to make way for unit development on the block. For some time after the Sunbury Asylum closed in 1994, the house was a community cottage for former Asylum residents.
Significance
This is one of a number of older houses built on large housing blocks in Sunbury, that have been demolished to make way for unit development.
