Historical information

Late 19th century cloud shaped collar, A Yunjian (云肩), or "cloud collar," is a traditional Chinese detachable cape-like or shawl-like accessory worn over the shoulders.
Shape & Design: Typically structured with four or eight lobed panels that drape over the shoulders like floating clouds, symbolizing the vault of heaven and the connection between man and nature.
Historically hand-embroidered with silk and metallic threads, often featuring auspicious motifs such as peonies, lotuses, butterflies, phoenixes, and lucky clouds, and edged with beads or tassels.
