Purchased for Guild by Miss Teague in Greece 1961. From the Bukovina District - The territory is split today, with northern Bukovina forming the Chernivtsi Oblast in Ukraine and southern Bukovina forming Suceava County in Romania.

Physical description

Geometric pattern in bright coloured threads and beads and gold thread on natural linen background.
Late 19th century saw the introduction of metal threads and beads to the embroidery.
