Kaisa Melanton (often spelled or referred to as Kajsa Melanton, born Björklund), the pioneering Swedish textile artist.

Prominent textile artist, weaver, and educator. She served as the head of the textile department at the prestigious Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design from 1969 to 1979.
Notable Works: She is highly celebrated for her large, modernist tapestries and embroideries featured in public spaces, including the Stockholm Concert Hall, Swedish churches, and theaters.
She was elected to the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in 1974 and received the Prince Eugen Medal for outstanding artistic achievement in 1980.
