The Misses Walsh, ran an exclusive children's wear shop 'The Nursery' in Little Collins in the 1930's and 1940's. Towards the end of the 1940's the shop closed.
Gifted by the Misses Walsh and their late Aunt Miss E. Walsh (member). One of a pair (no. 432)

Physical description

White satin jean with white embroidery in the classical style. Bold design of passion fruit flowers and leaves on the flap with sprays of berries at the sides, all worked in a great variety of stitches. Very decorative white fringe is added to the edgings. One of a pair of sachets with varying designs.
