Made at the Arts and Crafts Centre by local embroiderers trained to reproduce the classical Iranian designs. Selected by Lady Amies on a trip to Iran in 1976.
Edging strip for a dress. The design is seen in Persian carpets. Loosely woven black material with pattern darning in orange, red, blue and green with the addition of other embroidery stitches. Could be a sash.
