Historical information

Belonged to Mrs John Barrett (Amelia) who came to Australia with her husband and family about 1854. Lived in the Goldfields around Bendigo and finally settled at Albany, WA. The cape collar was given to me by Miss Betty Williamson. She and I are great granddaughters of Amelia. Edna Wark.

Physical description

Edwardian collar, with beadwork and jet in classical style with high neckband and V-shaped front and beaded shoulder drapes. Worked on fine net, the lining has been replaced and some beads replaced and added in February 1986.
