Jane Prior, born 16th October 1813 in London. The family came to Australia early 1850. She had ten children, 7 girls and three boys. A fourth child - Eliza was great-grandmother of the above owner, and the third daughter Jane, was the artist of the picture.
Physical description
Classical Georgian style with pastoral scene painted on silk and embroidered in pastel silks, cotton and wool. Gilt frame. Glass with oval painted black and gold surround.
