Mrs Myer (donor) acquired this baby dress in about 1948. It was made in the workroom of the Misses Walsh, who ran an exclusive children's wear shop 'The Nursery' in Little Collins in the 1930's and 1940's. Towards the end of the 1940's the shop closed.
Very fine cotton heirloom sewing, hand embroidery. Circles on net inset circled with tiny flowers. Lace band inset at waist. Lace frill at neck and hem. Tiny fabric covered buttons on back.
