Given to donor's father, Ernest Edward Aldred in 1904 by a Chinese gentleman (Chong Ling Soo) in gratitude for his friendship and help on their trip out from England on "The Moldavia".
Panel could have been used as a stage prop as Chong Ling Soo was a musician.
Large Chinese panel in bright yellow silk with an embroidered picture of lions and palm trees. Threads used are unusual and may be raw silk.
