Mrs Ethel Webb embroidered this in the 1940's. One bedspread is in the Power House Museum in Sydney. The bedspread design was designed by Mrs Webb using motifs from various sources. She died before she completed the piece.

This is the last of six bedspreads embroidered by the donor's mother, Mrs Ethel Webb in the 1930's and 1940's. One bedspread is in the Power House Museum in Sydney. The bedspread design is stitched in cross stitch on cream linen. It was designed by Mrs Webb using motifs from various sources. She died before she completed the piece.

Inscriptions & markings

Mrs Webb's eldest daughter embroidered her name and date of death on the top, the whole piece looks like a large cross stitch sampler.
