Accompanying note: Donated by Mary Rama - this gown was sewn and embroidered by the (Ceylonese) Sri Lankan Carmelite Nuns in 1937 for Mary's mother.

Physical description

Cream Christening gown in fine cotton net with net embroidery, silk under garment, pink ribbons.
Dainty net embroidered bonnet.
Its ribbons were changed for boys and girls.
