Historical information

The property is Craiglee, which was one of the first vineyards established in Sunbury in 1865 by Stuart Johnson. It is sited on the east bank of Jackson Creek and fronts onto Macedon Street. Goonawarra is another early vineyard on the opposite side of Macedon Street.

Significance

Craiglee is one of a number of vineyards that were established along the Jacksons Creek valley in the mid-nineteenth century.
