On the 7th June 2025 a number of community volunteers were invited to join with councillors and the local state and federal parliamentarians to witness the tree planting ceremony in the garden of the Sunbury Arts and Cultural centre building, which is being restored. The building was the former Women's Prison in the Sunbury Asylum complex. After the tree planting ceremony, guests were served a delicious morning tea.
