Historical information
This is Building 3 and was the Male Hospital at the former Sunbury Asylum until 1980 when the Western wing was destroyed by fire causing the closure of the entire unit. Part of the building was the centre for Nursing Studies when the site was used by Victoria University.
Significance
This is one of the decorative late Victorian buildings that can be seen on the former Sunbury Asylum site.
Physical description
A coloured photograph of red brick late Victorian building with white trims and a pitched slate roof and a front verandah. The roof has decorations along the top of the gables.
