Historical information

The buildings are part of the former Sunbury Asylum complex that was built on Jacksons Hill ( She oak Hill). They have been built between the garden area and the Ha Ha Wall, which was built in 1895 - 96.

Significance

The gardens at the former Sunbury. Asylum were very beautiful and well-maintained by staff and some of the inmates.
