Plummer, Janette Lucie
Elected to Council for East Central Ward at extraordinary election August 1974 following resignation of Councillor Gawler and served until defeated at the polls by Councillor Harris in August 1979. Councillor Plummer was the first female Councillor for the City of Nunawading. Rejoined the Council in in August 1982 when elected for East Central Ward following retirement of Councillor Harris. Chairperson of Standing Committee no. 1 1977-78; administrative and technical services committee 1984-85; community and amenity services committee 1985-86 and 1987-88. In 1989 she stood successfully as a candidate to the new North East Ward. Mayor of the City of Nunawading for the 1988-89 year.
