This book was published in New Zealand by John Gilles MD. He was an avid sketch artist. Included in the book are photographs and short accounts of his experiences in Vietnam.

A book with the title "Portrait of A War Artist. A revised edition. On the front cover is an image of a helicopter with two soldiers walking toward the helicopter. On the helicopter is the medical red cross symbols.
