Summary
This story is about the author starting off her studies at University only to become ill with pleurisy, which did not improve, the result was a break in University studies, bed rest and a referral to the part-time Director of Tuberculosis in Victoria. The author describes the different phases of her illness, her life at Greenvale Sanatorium, her friendships with other
patients, her family and the subsequent treatment in the 1940's for people suffering with TB. Greenvale was a close knit environment, everyone was fighting to stay alive, but some didn't.
