Newspaper cutting from the Doncaster Templestowe News of July 15, 1998. The cutting contains a report by Shannon Dunn headed Decision Expected as well as a column titled Group hopes council will win heritage house case. Both deal with the partially destroyed heritage listed house at 562 Doncaster Road, the future of which was under consideration by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. A photograph of Ron Pentland standing outside the wrecked building in which he had previously operated a sandwich shop. The land on which the building stands was once owned by a Mr Corbett, one of the first orchardists in the district. Judith Leaney, on behalf of the Doncaster Templestowe Historical Society, is quoted as giving support to the Manningham Council's refusal of a permit to demolish the building. Author: Dunn, Shannon.
