Historical information

The window was erected in memory of the Rev Thomas Hastie who founded the Church and became the first pastor and served the Church community until 1888

Significance

The church building was erected for the Presbyterian Church in 1860, Rev. Thomas Hastie founded and served this church and the community for 41 years.

"St. Matthew Chap. XIII", " This window has been erected to the memory of the late Rev. Thomas Hastie Founder and First Pastor of this Church 1847-1888. He labored faithfully and lived consistently beloved and esteemed by all. He entered into his rest April 1898, aged 84"
