This was a part of a two volume series, with thVolume 1 published in May 1985. The chairman of the committe was John E McClelland. The report adressed issues related to hospital-based nurse education and training, including the lack of correlation between theoretical and clinical teaching, varying standards, and the inadequatepreparation of students, for the stresses of work. After this report, hospital based teaching and training of nurses was phased out in Victoria
Significance
Of significance to the AHNL, as after this report the Alfred Hospital School of Nursing closed in 1992
