John Edward Sayers (Born Beulah, enlisted Melbourne) No 1419 enlisted 29.7.1915 in the 11th Reinforcements 4th LH Regt age 21 years 4 months, embarked 29.10.1915 for the Middle East, allotted to A Sqd 4th LH, allotted Driver 22.7.1917 in 4th LH Field Artillery, hospital 3.8.1917 Malaria then Debility, rejoin Unit 29.8.1917, Hospital again 27.9.1917 Malaria, rejoin Unit 11.10.1917, malaria comes back and finally rejoins unit 28.11.1917, L/Cpl 19.10.1918, RTA 25.7.1919, discharged from the A.I.F on 16.9.1919.

Beulah progress Association And Red Cross Society pendant on a, chain, brass, front has an image of a Soldier set in a circle within a basic square shape, the rea is engraved.
