Bendigo Advertiser articles on one page, 1st March,1995, titled:
1 'Region set for $11 m. drill'. Bendigo Mining has commenced drilling in Hansell Mundy, in South Carshalton, and the drilling will be 'extended to many areas in Kangaroo Flat and Eaglehawk.
2. 'Gold mine wheels turn in motion' Central Deborah Gold Mine re-instals reconditioned sheave wheels on the poppet head. Doug Buerger and Geoff Brownfield are pictured standing in front of one of the wheels prior to reinstallation. It was the first time in 50 years that the wheels had been removed. 'Last week Bendigo Mining had taken delivery of 9.3 metre long timber logs which will be used to replace the rotted timber at the mine's poppet head'. Photo on bottom of article shows a poppet head wheel being put back into place, being lowered by a crane to the top of the poppet head where a man is standing to position it.
Third article, Bendigo Advertiser 24th January 1995, describes how the wheels (sheaves) at the top of the Central Deborah Gold Mine poppet head have been removed for maintenance and the poppet head is being timbered.
