Physical description

A damaged thick black hardcover Holy Bible with an embossed large pattern on the front and back cover. The end paper at the front has come away from the spine which has five raised bands and Holy Bible written in gold lettering. There are marks and foxing inside and on the edges of the gilt edges pages. The text is large. Inside are three slips of paper used as bookmarks and have written in grey pencil verses in Judges and Acts.
