Jacksons Hill was the former site of the Sunbury Asylum ( Caloola), which closed down in 1992. Since then the Urban Land Authority was appointed to draw up plans for housing and recreational development.
Significance
The former Sunbury Asylum played an important part in Sunbury's development for over 120 years.
