Historical information

Initial training of Australian Pilots for WW2 occurred in Canada at Royal Canadian Air Force at Uplands, Ottowa. From there they would have continued to the European Theatre of War.

Black and white photo of 18 trainee Australian Pilots mainly recruited from NSW graduating from training in Nov. 1941 at the No.2 Service Flying Training school in Canada.

Inscriptions & markings

On front, sign says R.C.A.F. Official photograph. Stuck to the back is a complete list of class members with names and places of origin.
Stamped “Crown Copyright”. In pencil is written "Sydney Morning Herald". Date stamped “14 Nov 1941”.
