The certificate was issued on 5th November 1977 to Joan Houston of 3rd Sunbury Scouts when she had completed the first stage of her Wood Badge at Keilor. Barry Armstrong has signed the certificate. Joan was a cub leader for 3rd Sunbury Scouts for over 20 years from the 1970s.

Physical description

Small cream cardboard certificate with green lettering that was issued to scout and cub leaders when they had finished a training course in their Wood Badge - Stage 1. The scout insignia is on the top RH corner of the card and an image of an axe in a long of wood in the bottom LH corner. A hole has been punched in the top LH corner.
