Historical information
Some parts of 8 A.I.R. (Aust. Infantry Regiment) which existed from 1905-1912. Some badges suggest at least two are veterans so likely Boer War. Identified as part of 8th Battalion Bendigo early 1900's. The book "Marching on" by William E Thomason, page 33 also refers.
