Certificate - coloured print on cream paper. From the top, design includes two aircraft with a man and a woman positioned between two flags - Union Jack and Australian - with the words "FOR KING AND EMPIRE" above Royal Australian Air Force insignia. Dark cream columns with pale blue surround frame and the details. Black, blue and red coloured lettering with handwritten details completed. Two red and gold "ONE YEARS SERVICE" stickers attached to right of "VOLUNTEER AIR OBSERVER CORPS" insignia.
