Historical information

The Medallion commemorates the 60th anniversary of WW2 in 2005 to honor all service personal who served and were issued with.
The large card was signed by the Prime Minister John Howard and De Anne Kelly Minister for Veterans Affairs.
The Medallion was designed and manufactured by the Royal Australian Mint.

This was issued to R.K. Mylonas 148274, refer Cat No 10531.6 for his service details.

Physical description

.1) Medallion, gold colour has stylized map of Australia one side opposite has Australian Coat of Arms.
.2) Box cardboard, black with gold lettering on front and inside front cover, black felt inset for the Medallion.
.3) Small card folding with details, size and maker.
.4) Card large folding with image of the Medallion, photos showing the 3 Services, inside has a coloured Coat of Arms and description of the reason for the Medallion.
