2. LESLIE FANG YUEN joined the RAAF in 1942, and as a wireless air gunner flew missions into France and the heart of enemy territory, Germany's industrial powerhouse, the Ruhr. He was one of the first Chinese Australians accepted for aircrew by the RAAF in Queensland during World War 2.
