Summary
This book was produced as a class project, the proceeds of which were in support of Miss Wodonga High School entrant,
Debbie Gully. The funds raised by the Miss Wodonga High Contest were to go to the Wodonga High School Assembly Hall Fund.
The hall was was opened in August 1971 and was named Galvin Hall as reported in the accompanying article from the 1971 Belvoir school magazine.
Mr John Leslie Galvin served the school with distinction for 27 years, first as an art and craft teacher and later as teacher in charge of Woodwork. Mr Galvin was active in many facets of school life. He took charge of school assemblies, was the manager of our school fete, a member of the advisory Council Grounds Committee and of the Assembly Hall Committee.
In the wider Wodonga community he was instrumental in forming the Wodonga Apex Club, was a charter member of the Albury-Wodonga Lions Club and President of the Wodonga Golf Club.
