Historical information

The children in grades 4-6 from Bulla Primary school were attending a camp at Gundiwindi, in the Yarra Valley, as part of their outdoor education program. Some of the activities included learning about crafts from the local Wurundjeri people. One activity was doing bark painting as these children were attempting.

Significance

Meeting with the local Indigenous people gave the children a greater understanding of their crafts.
