These cards were issued by the Army to all it's soldiers.

Physical description

White paper folded Christmas Card with picture of a Kiwi soldier on the front and at bottom, "2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Forces, Middle East 1943" in red print. Surrounding soldier is a series of cards listing conflict areas they had served in . On page 3 is a brief letter from "Don" to his Mother wishing her good health and a Happy Christmas.

Inscriptions & markings

Letter dated "8th Oct 1943". His Unit is “2 Ammo Coy” A signature is on the back.
