A slightly singed black and white studio portrait of an old man and young child, identified in a (contemporary) typed label as 'Grandfather Mason and Wal Kappe.' He is George Henry Mason, father of Mary Ellen Dollman. Wal Kappe was born in 1904 to Charles Oscar Kappe and Diana Elizabeth Mason, so the date of the portrait is 1905c. The photograph is with its original page from the album with two photo corners intact. Part of the Dollman Collection.
