BCHG was formed in 1983 and aims to explore the history of the area covered by the former City of Brunswick. It incorporates the suburbs of Brunswick, Brunswick East, Brunswick West and a few streets in North Fitzroy. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the history of Brunswick.
Our collection
We have an archival collection, mostly document based with a growing collection of images. Mostly hard copy, there is some born-digital material. We have information files on people, streets, buildings, businesses, women, hotels, parks and reserves, schools, churches and much more.
