This is the fourth edition (2025) of a well respected collection of stories of the early Orbost district. The 1st edition was produced in 1972 (stories collected by Mary Gilbert). This updated fourth edition builds on the previous 3 editions by adding photographs and obituaries and where possible corrections have been made.

This item is significant because it tells the stories of early Orbost settlements, families and personalities from 1870's c.1940's
