Summary

The Tool Chest is a quarterly, full-colour journal published by the Hand Tool Preservation Association of Australia (HTPAA). Established in April 1992 as an evolution from the original HTPA newsletter, it focuses on the research, history, use, and maintenance of hand tools, with a particular emphasis on Australian-made tools. Articles cover the history of tool manufacturers, detailed studies on specific tool types (e.g., planes, saws), tool collecting, and restoration.
