SEC uniform for day wear. Presumably provided to workers possibly as a conditoin of working for the company for easy identification and safety. Benefits the employee who doesn't have to pay for their uniform.
Significance
The SEC constructed the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme completing it in 1961. They established an office in Mt Beauty and continued to operate and maintain the project employing a workforce on the scheme and in the office.
Physical description
2 shirts, 2 trousers, 1 jacket. Large size. All new and haven't been used.
Shirts: Khaki size 38,39. Logo 'contact' blue, yellow and red above the left pocket. Buttons khaki colour, long sleeves.
Tousers: Grey/green 'steel tuff trouser' King Gee, with pockets 89cm long.
Jacket: Dark green, cotton drill, front zip, velcro pockets, SEC logo. Size 92A, long sleeves.
