Letter written by "Alva Bennetts" to her mother whilst sailing on TSMV Duntroon on her journey home from BCOF in Feb 1949. In the letter she describes life on the ship, preparing a customs declaration and reflecting on the weather in Japan.

Physical description

1. & 2. Two page handwritten letter in envelope. BCOF letterhead in blue. Letterhead features a Kings Crown over a ribbon with "BRITISH COMMONWEALTH FORCES" printed on it. Other text in blue type.
3. Envelope has a plain front with BCOF insignia as per letterhead on back flap.
